My previous blog entry was actually unfinished. It was a bit unusual I said because that day I received a package from my sister. I knew she sent me a parcel as she informed me about it. What turned out to be unusual was my encounter with the delivery guy. He's the delivery guy of a certain courier service and I usually see him whenever he got some mails or packages addressed to our office. Sometimes I would receive some of those parcels when our secretary is not around. The delivery guy and I don't usually converse, and whenever we talk it usually goes like this: "Where's the secretary?" and sometimes I'd say "I'll just receive those."
That Monday, I was really expecting that I would be receive a package but I didn't expect that he'd be the one who'll deliver it. I never thought that it would be him or that my sister chose that particular courier service. Nevertheless, he was smiling when he came near me. He said " I really know who's the recipient of this." I was surprised for that was the first time he sort of talked to me in that manner. He was less formal. As a was slightly taken aback by his behavior I ignored him and turned to my office mate who asked what was the content of the package. I told her those were shoes for my boys. Well, I was not lying as there are times when I consider my nephews as my little boys.
Maybe the delivery guy was offended with my indifferent behavior toward him or that he was surprised to learn that I have kids. What? :-) Where did that thought come from? Yikes! It's almost two weeks since the guy came to our office and he never re-appeared. I noticed that we still receive some mails and packages from his employer but this time it's our security guard who gives them to our secretary. Did he stop going inside our office? Why? Or did he transfer to another place of assignment? Why?
To set things straight, I don't like him like the way I'd like a guy from opposite sex. I'm not affected whatever he does. I'm just a bit curious why I haven't seen him since the last time he came to our office to deliver to me my package. I slightly regret what could have been a good acquaintance.
